Teenage Lobotomy (2012)
Two musicians, two electric guitars, two chairs, two amplifier stacks: “Teenage Lobotomy” uses music to explore two dualities. Firstly that of the theater goer, who holds music as a given element, slightly in the background, often illustrative, never on a par with the other theatrical elements. Secondly that of the spectator-consumer, permanently exposed to a wide range of commercial, political or social propaganda, who comes to the theater to take a little break in its comfortable and soothing obscurity. Glissando (2010)
Glissando is a musical performance based on the piano works of Frédéric Chopin. The word Glissando is a technical term describing the piano technique – close to the heart of the great Polish composer – where one glides from one piano key to the next in order to assert a more human quality, a more dramatic and romantic music. In this sense, the performance will glide in a musical exchange between Chopin and more contemporary musical configurations. Read more…

In the Name of the People (2010)
“In the Name of the People” is a concert of a peculiar kind prepared for the public space. Built around a capella singing reminding us of a liturgical rite but taking place in the main hall of a courthouse, it will confront the spiritual tradition of religion to the secular surroundings of a civil institution. This performance is part of the “Ciudades Paraleles” project, developped by Lola Arrias and Stefan Kaegi for the cities of Berlin, Buenos Aires and Zürich. Pastiche (2010)
The Bern city theatre commissioned three authors to develop a work built around a common scenery designed by Lutz&Guggisberg. Christian Garcia-Gaucher produces a musical theater piece, along two theatrical works by Jens Nielsen & Antje Thoms and by Samuel Schwarz & Raphael Urweider. Pastiche, the third part of this one-night trilogy, will build up on the individual personalities of the performers merging into a greater ensemble. Read more…
